DL Henry's Biography

DL Henry one of the greatest comics to explode on the seen during this time when the healing powers of laughter is needed so much. One whose grandeur of comedic style is like being at an all you can eat buffet “He has jokes for everyone.” Not just fun and games but he serves a surprise of stories with funny spins about our life’s situations that just make you sit back, look at yourself, and say, “Hum!”, Maybe I need to do something about that,” while at the same time your laughing.

Like a buffet you get the things you want and need DL is a comedian who cooks to order preparing something for all ages, ethnic backgrounds, cultures whether you’re in a club, business conference, private party or a church it doesn’t matter he understands we are all people. His original stories derive from his life growing up an urban city youth, struggling to become a power house in the industry. Those multiple experiences of being poor, a husband, father, engineer, and motivator gives him a broad outlook on life which allows him the ability to relate to everyone in some form or fashion. Supporters early on that watched DL command the stage and wow the crowd coined the phrase, “They Love DL,” which has been a true statement since the birth of his discovery that he can make people laugh for a living while at the same time motivates them.

DL gives honor to the comedians that have paved the way for him: Richard Pryor, Redd Fox, Bernie Mac and Don Rickles to name a few, with their straight up approach to life through comedy!
