The Clean Comedy Clinic started out as a group of African American comedians whose sole purpose was to band together and promote themselves as a clean comedy tour that would perform at churches, corporate events, theaters, cruise ships, and colleges. The group was founded by Comedians Edwonda White, Vince D, Kathy Westfield, T.J. McGee, and Willie Brown & Woody. They called themselves the Laugh Doctors, and thus came the name Clean Comedy Clinic.

Their mission is to take clean comedy all over the world, and to let people know that you don’t have to use profanity or vulgarity to make someone laugh. Using the old adage that “laughter is the best medicine”, they began to practice their craft as a group. Each of the comedians have been successful in their own right; however they realized that by combining their comedic visions they could truly become a powerful force in the Gospel comedy world and Christian comedy arenas.

As Laugh Doctors they heal the hearts and minds of the people who watch them. Spreading laughter and joy through Gospel and Christian Comedy is not an event. It’s a mission. Since forming in 2003 the Clean Comedy Clinic has evolved into much more than an association of gospel and Christian comedians. It has now become a full fledged booking agency offering some of the funniest and most talented clean comedians available. Our comedians have been featured on nationally televised programs, movies, and on radio. It’s not enough just to be clean. You got to be funny too.

The Clean Comedy Clinic truly believes that “laughter is the best medicine”.
